“Dear BONSAI ART team,” wrote Roger Huwyler from Switzerland, “I have been a BONSAI ART subscriber for several years and I’m happy every time I find the new issue in my mailbox.
Of course, not all topics interest me equally, but I’ve gotten into the habit of
reading every article from A to Z. I particularly like the Gallery section
and use it to train my eye. Recently, I read through all the issues I’ve received once more. You always discover articles that you’ve forgotten in the meantime.”

My styling interests focus mainly on deciduous trees. I am particularly fond of forest or group plantings. For example, over the turn of the year, we organized a symposium on the topic of forests in Jürg Stäheli’s circle.
During my preparation, I found out that mixed deciduous forests are very rarely styled and that forests apparently appeal more to Europeans than to Japanese people. However, Kato and Takeyama were leading Japanese designers for forests and also styled mixed forests.
I would be happy to see reports on Bonsai forests or a gallery on forest and

group plantings. Comparatively little can be found on forest styling today. Thank you very much for your dedication in delighting your readers with a richly filled magazine every time.
Keep it up!”

We would like to thank you very much for this lovely letter and will be happy to publish an article about Bonsai forests as soon as we can get hold of one.

Thank you for your effort. “Do you also have praise or criticism for us? Please feel free to write to us!
